Spread Firefox is an international initiative of Firefox marketing, a way to spread the word on Firefox in the community. It is a very successful initiative and we would like to do something in India in a smaller scale. That is how the idea of a “Firefox for India” was born.

Firefox is currently in version 2.x (the latest at the time of this article being v2.0.0.3) and they are available for all variants of downloads. You can also read the latest Release Notes for Firefox 2.0.0.3. You can also learn more details about the Firefox 2 Project.

We are currently looking for interested people who can spread the words about Firefox in the Indian community, people who can come up with ideas to make the penetration of Firefox usage increase in India. We’re thinking of free CD distribution of Firefox, competitions et al. If you know how these can be achieved with an economical cost, please let us know.

We’re also looking for Authors who can contribute about Firefox to this site. You can talk about anything related to Firefox. Register with the site today and let us know if you are interested in being an author.
